Verrutop Topical Verruca Treatment
Initial Consultation £50
Follow Up Consultation £38
20-40 minutes

Verrutop is a topical solution used by healthcare professionals to treat warts and verrucas. It works by drying out and mummifying the lesion with a Nitrizinc complex, which helps the tissue heal and the verruca shrink and eventually be eradicated. The treatment is non-invasive and suitable for children age 6 onwards.

How it works:
Nitrizinc complex: Verrutop contains a specific complex of nitric acid combined with copper and zinc salts, as well as organic acids like lactic, acetic, and oxalic.
Desiccation and denaturation: This complex causes the viral-infected tissue to dehydrate (desiccate) and breaks down its DNA (denaturation), leading to cell death and destruction of the virus.
What to expect
Application: It is applied by a healthcare professional and is usually painless, though some may experience a slight sting.
Treatment frequency: Typically, 3 to 6 treatment sessions are needed, with each session taking place every 1 to 2 weeks.
Aftercare: No dressings or special padding are usually required after application.
Who it is for:
Best for: Smaller warts and verrucas
May be less suitable for: Large, long-standing, or particularly stubborn warts, for which other treatments may be better indicated.

Unsuitable for diabetics, pregnant patients and nursing mothers.

Local Anaesthesia £45
For patients experiencing significant discomfort, our Local Anaesthetic Add-On provides a safe and effective way to make your treatment completely pain-free.
Administered by our qualified podiatrists, a small amount of local anaesthetic is carefully injected to numb the affected area — often used for very sore toenails, nail procedures, or other sensitive treatments. This ensures you remain comfortable and relaxed throughout your appointment, while we carry out your care with precision and ease.
The numbing effect wears off gradually over a few hours, allowing for a smooth and comfortable recovery.
Our aim is to make every treatment as gentle and stress-free as possible — so you can focus on feeling better, not feeling pain.
